A dark garnet colour announces an intense, woody bouquet with notes of tobacco, liquorice and blackcurrant. On the palate, this wine is rich and powerful right from the start.
Ripe tannins structure this wine without hardening it. Full, with a lot of substance, the finish is warm, structured, roasted on ripe fruit.
Serve it with red or white meats and game; it goes very well with duck confit.
