The tasting opens with strong aromas of black fruit and sweet spices.
It continues on the same tones in a balanced and well structured palate, fresh on the attack then round and tender, carried by pleasant and mellow tannins.
Ideal with beef bourguignon or entrecote with pepper sauce.
Appellation : A.O.C BORDEAUX RED.
Soil : clay and chalky.
Yield : 54hl/ha.
Average age of vines : 20 years old.
Production : 100 000 bottles
Blend : 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Mechanical harvesting.
Vinification : selection of the harvest at full maturity.
Ageing : can be drunk immediately, but will evolve favourably for 5 years.
Bottling : storage of the bottles for 6 to 12 months at the property.
Degree : 13,5% vol.
